Hi, I just wanted to send an update on our puppy Mulligan (Mully) formerly Sophie. We brought her home in May and she is doing great. She has been through puppy training and now goes to doggy day care 1 or 2 days a week and loves it. She loves to chase and fetch. She is a sweet little girl and a snuggler, with personality plus. She and the cats are becoming friends - well, in Mully's mind they are but not so sure yet about the cats! We are very happy to have found her. Amy and Kelly!

I just spoke to Sheila on the phone, and Missy is doing great! Sheila said Missy is wonderful with the cats, and just wants to make friends with them, and maybe even play a little. Missy even let one of the cats drink water, with her, out of her water bowl. This same cat came over to check out Missy's food while she was eating and Missy did nothing to the cat. Missy has not had anymore housebreaking accidents. Sheila said Missy sticks to her like glue, but this is just fine with Sheila, and is exactly what she wants in a dog! Missy slept through the entire night in her crate (which is right next to Sheila's bed) without ever making a sound. Sheila said that Missy is very sweet and gentle with the older folks in the home, and just like I taught Missy....she will sit calmly at their feet to be petted. Sheila says Missy is doing very well in her home! Sheila just loves Missy!!!

My Happy Ending is a story of fate. When I decided I wanted to adopt a dog, I immediately found Jill on Pet Finder. When I applied for her, she was already being adopted by another family. I was very disappointed, for I had my heart set on Jill. She seemed to be so much like my dog Harley, I knew she was the perfect addition. I still looked around for another pug mix, but none of them were as compatible to my dog and family as Jill was. To my surprise she was back on the rescue site when she was returned due to an issue with a cat nearly 3 months later. I immediately contacted the rescue to let them know I was still interested, and 3 days later, I brought her home. She has made such a difference in our lives and a wonderful companion to Harley. After 2 months I think she now realizes that she has found her forever home. We are so lucky that it ended up this way! (Jill is on my right, Harley on my left)

Thank you K9Lifeline!!!!!!!!

Rocky is doing great! He quickly learned where to go to potty, and he does very well at night. He absolutely adores his toys and is exploring everything, as all puppies do. He eats very well for us - no problems there! Rocky is definitely at home here with us. He has brought so much joy to our lives already! Thank you again for this wonderful gift!
Wow, It has been almost 3 years since we adopted Daisy May. I just wanted to update you on what a wonderful dog she has become. Our oldest son calls her Daisy dog wonder. She goes to obedience class and agility though the Sheboygan 4-H project. Two of my sons train her there. She learns very quickly and is very fast at agility. She really likes being able to run around and met all the other dogs. We enjoy teaching her tricks such as rollover, spin, crawl, wave, give paw, touch, find it and all the agility obstacles. The boys love playing hide and seek and find the treat with Daisy May. She is very loved and a great addition to the family. The Raunio Family
Just wanted to send a photo of my beautiful girl, Olivia! She is SOO happy here! She loves the boys so much, too. She is a happy little traveler... loves walks and food! Actually, I think she loves food more than the boys do! haha She is so funny too.

Just a thanks to you both for bringing her my way. She fits in so very well here. We love her to pieces :)

Leah is adjusting so well. She is a real cutie, and we love her so much. She is a cuddler, and sleeps with us under the blanket. Thank you so much for choosing us. We are enjoying her every minute.
A quick note to thank you all so much for all the help in finding Gia. I brought her home last night and it was love at first sight for everyone. She is perfect for our home. She loves our other Rott, Bear, who is 7 years old. He pepped right up at the sight of her and the two of them have been playing ever since. She has been great with my grandchildren, greeting them all with a big wet kiss planted firmly on their cheeks. The transition was immediate, as though she has been here forever. At this moment she is romping and playing in the yard with Bear. Her happy ending, she has found her "forever home" and we have found our "forever dog." We love her and are so thankful for everyones help.
Sassy is the best puppy. We love her so much. Yes, we decided to keep the name you gave her. We found it fit her pretty well after she tried a few times to back out of her leash as soon as we walked out of your house, explored the car and tried to sit in the driver's seat. and happily visited with our neighbors that showed up before we ever got in our house. We stopped and got a harness collar on the way home so she can't wiggle out of it. She doesn't like any of them, especially the tag. It's already full of teeth marks.

She had a good ride home. She sat in each lap for a little while after exploring, and slept in my lap the rest of the way home. Yay! She's in my lap now as I'm typing this. She played a lot on Saturday, but she was a lazybones yesterday. She was content to sleep on anyone that would sit still long enough. She's done well meeting new people already. She has settled in very well.

She managed to have her first accidents in the house, but we've been able to catch her in time since then and get her outside. She is quite a jumper. We put a flattened box across the kitchen doorways because the gates didn't work. They keep her in unless I'm on the other side. Then she easily jumps to the top and scrambles over the rest of the way. She can also jump on my bed herself. She is already very attached to me and cried while I took my shower. We have her crate in our room for bedtime and she whines a little, then goes to sleep.

Jessica hopes you are okay without Sassy. She doesn't want you to be sad with out her. Kailan and Jessica love her so much. They can't believe we actually have her.

Here's my favorite picture so far. I'll send you the sharing page to her Kodak album too.

It was great to meet you. Thank you so much for all that you do for the animals. We will continue to keep in touch and send pictures.

Bear has adjusted very well and we LOVE him. I can see how you didn't want to give him up.
It's now been a year since I adopted Bogey (nee Smokey). He's doing great and is just a wonderful companion. He loves chasing balls and swimming more than anything. He's a total charmer and everyone comments on how sweet and handsome he is. I've kept him on Fromm's, though I switched to the grain free Surf and Turf variety. I can't thank you enough as he has brought an incredible amount of love and joy to my life and the lives of everyone he meets.
Gizmo is doing great. He is just a bundle oflove. He is getting along with everyone
Jasmine sorta uses the couch in my family room as her safety spot and that is fine. She ate about half her breakfast. So I left at 11:30 and the two older girls came over about 3:00 and took them both for a long, long walk. Carolyn who is the Dog Whisper in the neighborhood has a way to wrap her lease around her belly so she won't pull. Carolyn is an excellent dog trainer.

The four of us watched TV on that green couch last night. The two dogs curled up and the cat across my legs. The cat, Sadie, has been fine with her. For a cat she sorta goes with the flow. I brought the gang into my bedroom to sleep and closed the doors. Lilly always goes under the covers as a rat terrier seems to like and sleeps my my feet on my left. Sadie sleeps on my right or on top of the TV. Jasmine was on my left by my pillow. So that works. She is curious about Sadie but does not seem to be afraid just curious and Sadie is fine with all.

I just fed them and Jasmine ate most of her food. She shook some yesterday when nervous but when you think of her trauma of losing you etc. Today she did not shake much at all and loves the attention. I think we made a good match.

Thought I'd send you an update on Buddy (renamed from Homer). Our trip home was uneventful, puppy slept most of the way.

He's fit in real good. We're working on housetraining, manners and fun. He will already retrieve a thrown ball! His favorite object is my socks from the floor in the bedroom. Guess I better pick up after myself a little better ;)

Here's a couple pictures. He likes to nap on hubby's coveralls. He's real good with kids, as you know. The picture is of my grandniece, AnnaLea, with Buddy.

Thank you for all you and your family does for these dogs.

Champ has been great. He's the perfect addition. He even has our twelve year old lab out playing in the snow with him. The fenced in yard is amazing for him. When we brought him home he just did laps for twenty minutes probably. As for the cat well he hasn't seen much of him because every time our comes out he chases him. All in good fun of course. :) I'm so glad that he is a part of our family now. Thank you so much!
I thought I'd share a Jax update with you. Jax now goes to doggy day care two mornings a week. He likes romping around with the other dogs and it gives him a chance to stretch his legs during these long winter months. He gets a report card every day he goes to "Camp Waggin' Tails" and he always scores "A - Absolutely wonderful" - because he is! Last night we made Valentine's (with a little treat included) to share with all his friends at day care. Yes, we are a little dog crazy at our house :)

Jax is slowly becoming the wonderful adult dog we all knew he could be - he still has bouts of puppy-ness, but he is a fantastic dog and we couldn't be more pleased with him!

Just so thrilled about Jack (who has been renamed Raisin) joining our family. He is such a wonderful little guy. He's energetic, fun, happy, and just fitting in as nice as could be. He's met a lot of our neighbor friends, and we are really working hard on the potty training. He's had some successes and some accidents. He does know his name already and will sit on command. Thanks so much for the efforts you put into to helping him find a home where we he is loved.
Monday we celebrated our first year with Sam and Mae (now Oliver and Mitzi). They have been such a blessing and a wonderful addition to our family.

Oliver is definitely Golden Retriever, but our vet thinks he has hound of some sort mixed in (Bloodhound perhaps?) He is such a laid back guy, however, he knows he is the "man" of the house- first one down in the morning, last one up at night. Since they graduated in June to sleeping outside their kennels, he has claimed his place on my bed (and has never missed a night!) He loves finding miscellaneous items belonging to me and takes them to his den (behind a living room chair). His favorite game is keep-away: He finds a stick in the yard and prances with it, all the while teasing Mitzi!

When Mitzi was a pup, she did not like touching anyone when she slept. She has since blossomed into a very social, loving girl! She loves to cuddle when we first go to sleep and early in the morning. She is our official greeter, scolding anyone who ignores her when they enter the house. She loves to chase Oliver through the yard, teasing him till he chases her. Since she is such an athlete, she will eventually be enrolled in agility classes.

Both have graduated from "school"- Mitzi at the top of her class, Oliver not so much (he prefered to watch what was going on rather than work!)

I know I told you this last year, but I'll say it again: THANK YOU for opening your house and your heart and caring for these babies until they could find their home. Oliver and Mitzi make us laugh at least once a day (usually more) and I can't imagine what our home would be without them.

Everything is going GREAT!!!! Annie is fitting in very well here. We love her so much!!!!
This picture and the other were taken a few days ago! This is a favorite perch for them--only it is usually one at a time. When the blind is open they can see right out the window onto the street. They take turns but since Odie is bigger and Daisy is less insistent, he gets the chair most of the time. One of my nieces must have staged them on the chair together for this picture cause they would never do it on their own. Once again, we can't thank you enough for taking care of Calvin until we could find him and take him home. And thanks so much for coming to see us last summer.

Susan

My Wife and I adopted Sadie back in April and wanted to send you a new picture. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and is so well mannered and caring. Sadie loves to play ball, and hang out in the yard and been getting plenty of exercise running, and playing with all the other family dogs. We look forward to many years of fun with her. Thank you K9 Lifeline!!

Mike

Hey Heather, Just wanted to give you an update. Brodie is doing fantastic. We start puppy training classes on July 15!!! He is doing really well. He loves to play with his cousin Deuce who is a 120lb ch lab. Those two have a blast together. I took him swimming which he absolutly loves and we are going to start going to the doggy park in waukesha area where he can be off a leash and run around and play with other dogs....its completely fenced in though so don't worry. He started to have seperation anexity with only me when I would leave my house, so he would pace back and fourth and bark until I got home even if there was a house full of people there. But I talked to the trainer and he is being kenneld when I leave which he actually likes and he gets his special treat like a bone or something to chew on only when I leave so he actually looks forward to it now which is a relief. I felt so horrible for leaving to go to work, but I think we are all doing very well. He has had a few accidents in the house but he knows to go by the door now to be let out which is nice. He still loves sleeping with me at night...hes a wonderful cuddler. Well I will work on getting you some pics, Thanks again for being such wonderful foster parents to him. He is like my child and I love everything about him. He means the world to me, so I appreciate it. Hope you had a wonderful 4th!!

Jessica

It is amazing to think that our Sadie has only been with us for three weeks. The first couple of days Miss Sadie was a little skittish and uncertain but that changed quickly. By the morning of the third day she was sharing a bed with our long haired Chihuahua Loki and wanting to snuggle with me and Dale. By the fourth day she became my little shadow. I cannot make a move without her tagging along to the point where I need to be careful of where I step. And if I dare to leave home without her, well, Sadie lets anyone within hearing range know how unacceptable that is.

Sadie is a sweetheart and we love her. She is still a bit skittish when meeting new people but relaxes fairly quickly. She loves to ride in the car and go for walks, especially if Loki is also along. And just a few days ago she decided that she wanted to cuddle with our 3 year old daughter Carolyn, which surprised all of us. We are so glad that we decided to make her a part of a family and give her a forever home.

Everything is going great. I think we have adjusted to one another's quirkiness and schedules for the most part now. We went to the first vet appointment yesterday, which was very exciting for one and all, and the little guy weighed in at 23.4lbs. Everyone loves him of course and I can't wait for him to meet the other 4-legged friends in the family! I am hoping to get to the dog park soon. I didn't want to go until we got more familiar with each other and the new id tags were securely attached. I'm sure it will be great fun and he will also surely make lots of friends, he seems to everywhere we go!

Thank you so much! He is the perfect addition to my life!

Sincerely
Erica

We've had Lucy for two months now and she is a great dog. She has been a good fit for our family. Lucy is still very calm and quiet, but she does have her wild side (just not that often). She has a Border Collie best friend and is making new friends at the dog park. Everyone mistakes her for a beagle! She misses her kids now that they are in school, but her new hobby, chipmunk chasing, keeps her busy till the kids get home. We think she is very happy with our family. Thank you for your help.

~Jill

Daisy is such a lovey. She is one of the most sweetest, calming dogs ever. It didn't take her long to warm up to us. She quickly became a velcro dog! She gives us a lot of joy. The kids love her and try to give her walks. She will be starting obedience training soon. We hope she loves it here as much as we love having her. She is a blessing to our family. Daisy weighs 21 lbs. and is very healthy. Thank you and enjoy the pictures.

Paul and Judi

Just wanted you to know once more how happy our lives have been the past year since adopting Angel. She is a great fit in our home and family. She has become quite spoiled. Loves her little bed in the living room if a lap is not available. But has her spot in our King bed during the evening hours. She has lifted our hearts and charmed all that have visited this past year. People from afar call to chat but all ask how she is. How one little girl touch so many and was a resuce dog. Just shows all be careful what is thrown out as there is a lot of love in this little one.

Sincerely,
Mary

Things are going great and Lucy (we renamed her and she knows her new name:)!) is adjusting very well. Her toe looks really good, we've been diligent with giving her medicine at the right time and putting the cream on. We have taken her to the dog park and she loves that. There is a dalmatian puppy in our building who we plan to schedule play dates with because those two really get along outside. We have an appointment with a local vet for next week. Everything is going really well! She's such a joy to have! We have so much fun playing and cuddling with her. And she's been great about letting us know when she needs to go out. Thank you again for everything that you did for her and for us. We love her so much and are so happy she's in our lives. Hope everything is well with you :)

Angela

It's so nice of you to check on "Mister." He is doing GREAT and we love him very much. We have changed his name to Jasper and he definitely knows his new name. He is extremely obedient. He stays in the yard without a leash (even when a dog walks by) and if he gets too close to the sidewalk he comes right back to us when we call him. He hardly ever barks. He goes to his crate when we say "crate."

Jasper has attached himself to me and he follows me wherever I go. He always has to sit on my lap and he nudges my hand with his nose whenever I stop petting him. He is very submissive and he shows us his belly all thi time, especially after we have to reprimand him. That's his way of telling us that he is sorry and to please not be mad at him.

At our lake home this summer we found out that Jasper looooooves water. When he goes into the lake he goes crazy. He barks at the waves and bites them. He would not get out if we didn't make him and he is a very good swimmer. He loved going on boat rides and fishing with us. If one of us caught a fish he would brk at it and try to eat it.

He is also fascinated with birds. One day, while I was walking in the woods up north, we heard a rustling sound in a nearby pine tree. All of a sudden he ran to the tree, grabbed a bird off of a lower branch, and killed it to death by biting it in his mouth. He brought it to me and laid it on the ground in front of me as if he were offering me a million dollars. He looked so proud and pleased with himself that I couldn't bring myself to yell at him.

I have attached a picture of Jasper so you can see how happy he is. We know when he is happy or excited because his ears go up really high on his head. It is very cute.

Jasper's personality is really starting to show and every day we learn something new about him. The girls love him and he is very good around them. He has never snapped or growled at them, which makes me happy, and relieved.. He is still not too sure of my husband, Bruce, but he will go to him on his own now (to be petted, of course) Occassionally, he will still growl or bark at Bruce but only when Bruce tells him to do something that he really does not want to do, like get off the bed or the couch.

Thank you so much for being a dog foster mom and for helping dogs who need it. Without you, we would have never gotten our Jasper. We love him very much and we think he is pretty happy here. I'm glad we were able to adopt him and give him a good, loving home and family.

Thanks,
Debbie, Bruce, Tessa and Lydia.

This is Uno now known as Madison. She came to our Rescue with only one eye, needed surgery and lots of TLC after she was better she was adopted out to a wonderful family who sent us these pictures of her now at almost 6 months old.
It took a while, but we finally have a good group picture with Cissy. She's doing great and we love her dearly ! Thanks again for allowing us to see her ! Have a great summer !

Mike

Sorry it has taken me so long to give you an update on how Smokey, now known as Elvis, is doing. He is a very happy puppy. We got him from you on 3/21/09 and he weighed 10.2 lbs. he is now over 30 lbs and only 5 months. He is the love of our familys life. He is the biggest cuddle bug I have ever known. We are still working on the potty training but he is doing very well. There is a blanket on our couch that he just loves to lay on no matter who is under it. He will come into the kid's room at bed time and just lays on the bed while oneof us reads them a story. I have enclosed a couple pictures of him from a few weeks after he came home with us and I will send you a few more that are more recent. He is an absolute perfect fit with my family.

Melissa

6/03/2009 -Brodie is doing AWESOME!!! Everyone absolutly adores him. He gets lots of car rides because he basically goes everywhere with me. He also gets free rain of he house when no ones home (he is doing fantastic with the potty training very little accidents). I think he really loves it here. He also is a very lucky guy, my boyfriend loves him enough to let him sleep in between us at night in our king size bed. He is so sweet. I will have to take some pics and send them to you shortly. Brodie also knows how to sit, stay, doesnt chew anything, so I am very lucky and I appreciatie all the work you helped put into training him.
Thanks again,

Jessica

Prince did awesome on the ride home! He slept the whole way. We brought the dogs outside after we got home and let Prince explore a little, and needless to say, they weren't as excited as we were to get him. They've calmed down a little, at least they don't bark and chase him EVERY time he walks by them, but I think we're on the right path. He slept the whole first night in his cage without any whining, and has done good since then. He whined a little last night, but I think that's cause Drew was in and out of bed so he heard him. He and Drew are best buds too! They have so much fun playing in the back yard together. Drew said, "Mom, I can actually play with this dog!!!"

We will totally share pics and keep in touch as he grows. Thanks for all your help!

Darci, Jeremy and Drew
Prince, Bella and Baby

Martin, now Milo, is doing great!!! He follows us everywhere and is becoming very protective. He barks now when he hears noises and runs to see what it is. Curious about everything and wanting to learn. Thank You so much for him!!!

Kerri and Tony

Pebbles is doing great! She had a busy weekend. She'll probably be happy for the peace and quiet when I go to work Monday. She has met many of my friends' dogs, and we also went to a dog social at Petsmart on Saturday night. She's adjusting well and we are developing a wonderful bond. She now has a name tag and I registered her name and info with the 24 hour Pet Watch. Now we just have to visit the vet and we are set. I'm happy to keep you posted with updates now and then if you'd like. Pebbles is a fantastic dog, thank you for helping us unite.

Amy

Hi.
I wanted to update you on Smokey. His name is now Bogey and he's a great dog. He's extremely friendly with people, dogs, and cats. He picks things up very quickly. He knows sit, down, wait, high five, leave it, and drop it. He's about 30 pounds and is growing quickly. Enjoy the pictures.

Jonathan

Hi! The first night went great! Angel fit right in and is already true sisters with our other beagle. She really enjoyed her first night in bed and is so fun! We love her already. Her vet appointment is for monday morning, Thank you for all of your help we love her!

Katie

He is doing great! We adore him! The only problem is the crate. He hates the crate. It is almost like he has a panic attack. Now when we leave we let him have the run of the house. So far so good. I did sign him up for doggie day care starting next week. This week my daughter has been in and out during the day, so he hasn't been left for an entire day yet. He loves Petunia, and she is tolerating him. We changed his name to Zeus which he seems to already know. He seems happy and comfortable.

Thanks again,
Linda

I thought I would share a recent picture of Barley (Luke) that was taken in January. He is seriously the BEST dog ever... We love him more and more everyday! PS He just turned 2 in March

Sarah and Tyler

I can not tell you how great Bella has been. She is such a great dog and is so good with the kids.
Clifford is doing great and he's such a good dog. We're really happy to have him and can't imagine our life without him.
Hi there, I just wanted to email you and let you know that Tanner is doing really well. He has adjusted to our home and is loving that he has 3 acres to run and play on every day. We are starting puppy kindergarten on Monday and are going to possibly pursue becoming a therapy dog because of his natural good nature and kindness towards people. He loves spending time with our 2 yr old son Noah and chasing his tennis ball in the yard. We can't thank you enough for this wonderful addition to our family.

Beth, Brad & Noah

I just wanted to let you know that Allie is adjusting to her new home just fine. She is very well behaved and comes right to us when she is called. We really love her and she is perfect for our family. She especially loves running in the fields and woods behind grandpa's house. It's fenced in so we don't have to worry. When she runs far we whistle and she comes running right back. She listens very well. Thanks for finding her for us.

Mary and Tom

Two of our four wonderful dogs came from K9Lifeline. Shorty, a Jack Russell mix has been with us almost a year and is full of antics that always make us laugh out loud. Huckleberry Finn has been here over 5 years and is the quiet one of the group. Both were saved from high kill shelters and brought here for us to "find"! (They were both foster dogs that I fell in love with and couldn't bear to part with!) We're so glad they could be part of our family.
Just thought you'd like a last update on Buffy now that she's been with us a couple weeks. She's very spunky and loves to play and cuddle. She has adjusted to our schedule and is no longer fearful of new noises or places. She has a wonderful personality.

Thanks for fostering her. Marcie

We finally decided on a name - Olive. It fits her perfectly and she responds really well to it. Olive has no problem with the cats, and wants to play with them, however, they are not so sure about her yet and keep there distance. Hopefully they will get to co-exist a little better soon. Other than the housebreaking fun ;), she has been a wonderful little girl.
Hello

Lucy is a year old! I'm happy to say she is doing awesome! she really is a good natured girl. I really couldn't be happier with her. she is so calm and well behaved. I constantly get asked "what breed is she" "where did you get her" " how can I find one like her"? I just smile and say she's a mutt. one of a kind.

Lucy has many friends around our neighborhood and we make frequent trips to Granville dog park

Thank you

Rich

Dear Joanne, Just wanted to send a few photos now that Buddy is a year old. We went to the vet on his birthday just to weigh him; he is 73 lbs. now but still filling out. He has a big chest & is a handsome guy. He has quite a funny personality too--sweet, gentle, very smart, loves to play soccer with his paws, holds a treat on his nose, puts his head on my shoulder when I read stories to our son. In the morning I say "Go wake up Garrett," and he runs upstairs and jumps on the bed barking. His favorite place to sit is in the dormer window in our bedroom (photo) as he like to see what's happening outside. We really feel lucky to have adopted him. Thanks again!

Dan, Barb & Garrett Mitchell

Moni is doing really great. She's so smart. Sometimes too smart for her own good when trying to get her to tackle stairways. She'll go up and down the 2 steps off and on the deck but she is real timid on a flight of stairs yet. With a little coaxing she will "fly" up a flight of stairs but not on her own yet. We realize in time she will tackle this hurdle so we are not pushing her.

Moni does have a couple favorite toys already and is really playful. It's nice to have a dog that actually plays with her toys. Our last adopted dog, Sophie didn't play at all but was a cuddler. Moni is finally protecting our house and does bark a little when she hears another dog when outside. She is really well mannered when we are at the dinner table and doesn't beg at all but instead eats her own food and treats. Or she lays down for a little nap by her favorite sqeaky toy. She has a real good appetite, too.

Moni's doing well with her house training but needs some attending to be successful. Debbie is home all day so she's able to give her the attention to keep improving.

Debbie and I are proud and happy dog parents. We really needed and love this addition to own home.

Ed and Debbie Kangas

Gracie Rae (aka pansy) is doing fantastic - we thought we were getting a lab w/ some mix, but dont think that's happening - she's got the lab face, but is very stubby in the legs and looks like a wienie dog - we call her our laborwinnie - she's also started to howl like a hound dog so... who knows? - we do know that we love her to death, and that's all that matters - she's 35 lbs now and we're guessing that's as big as she'll get - we were expecting 60 - 70 lbs, but you know what they say about small packages - she's a spunky little girl - she loves her momma and actually sleeps over my head every nite - her legs are on either side of my face and her belly is on top of my head - to say that she's spoiled is an understatement!
Pixie formerly know as Patsie or Pastel is doing great! She has adjusted wonderfully in her new home and has learned several new tricks thanks to my animal lover, Brianna! She has a great personality and we absolutely love having her in our home!!!

Thank you!

Tabitha is keeping us busy and entertained, she has been great. She has been very good in the kennel at night, and there have only been a couple minimal messes in the house. She whines at the door when she needs to go out.
Thanks for everything.

Davy

Hi!

This is Sean Murphy, just giving you an update with Hugo. He's fitting in perfectly with the family. Our other dog, Maya, just loves him, and the two of them are best friends. We haven't really been crating him at all now; he gets the run of the living room during the day, and hasn't shown himself to be destructive at all. He's really affectionate towards everyone. We had someone come to fix our furnace, and he didn't even bark once! He even fell asleep behind the guy on the couch. In the evenings, he just curls up next to me while I'm reading or watching TV. All in all, he's really becoming part of the family very quickly. Thanks a lot for the great puppy!

Sean

My wife and I just wanted to drop a line to tell you "thanks" for bringing "Stormy" (now Lucy) into our lives. She's fit in very well with our Silkypoo, Dottie. They're still getting to know one another but I'm sure it won't be long before they're best friends. Thanks to all of you who do what you do for these animals. It is truly a gift of life for them.

Checkers has been doing really good. He's very spoiled and likes to sleep a lot. Catherine and Checkers are still attached at the hip! He's such a lover and still so funny! Everything is good here. Happy dog!
Angel is perfect. Loves new mom and dad. We took her with us to West Allis to meet Granddaughters and their parents. She thought she was the queen of the house. Also, wanted her to know when she goes with us in the car. She is coming back to the same place. She has claimed my antique rocker as her chair if she isn't on a lap. I feel she is happy, eating well, Still likes to keep you in sight though. Just to make sure she is still with someone. All in all she is a sweetheart through and through.

Thank you again, Mary Bratvold

Lily (aka Peanut) is doing great - she is up to 16.5 lbs last time I checked and I think she is still growing! She looks very Jack Russell now. Next month she will be spayed.
Just thought I would drop a quick note to update you on Bella. She is doing great!!! Housetraining has been very successful and she is very, very friendly to other people and other dogs. We have been taking her to puppy classes too. She already knew most of the commands but it is great for her to be able to play at full throttle with other puppies. She is getting us into shape too. We have found that whenever she gets sassy, we just need to take her for a nice jog. I just finished building a fence for her as well and she loves playing in the back yard without a leash. She also got a doghouse out of the lumber scraps. :)
Joker is loving the nice weather. Just thought you would like to see how horribly mistreated he is. He now claims 2 pillows on the couch and the remote :)
Just wanted to write an e-mail thanking you for fostering Barkley and helping to make it possible that he came into our lives. We have had him for over a year now and it has been an adventure with him everyday. He is doing very well and is very spoiled! He has a lot of personality and goes to doggie day care once a week where he is quite popular. We live very close to a dog park and go there a few times a week and live next door to a family with 2 great danes and a husky. They play together whenever they get the chance. Barkley has grown to be about 52 pounds now and we call him our '52-pound pug-mix'! He keeps busy by destroying every stuffed toy we give him, pulling on ropes, power chewing through a bone a day, and hunting bugs. He loves playing in the snow and hates the heat (any temp. over 60 degrees!). He hates taking a bath but we cannot get him out of pools, lakes, rivers, etc. Last weekend we took him canoing where he had his very own life jacket!
I just wanted to thank you for allowing me to adopt Hayzie, whom I have renamed Mandi. She's been with us since Friday morning, and she is such a little lovebug! Mandi is such a joy (and hilarious) to play with, and she's catching on to her routine here great. She loves to be close to me, so I haven't really needed to use a leash with her in our yard - except when I work with her on boundary training or when we go for our walks.

I continued with Tracy's crate-training of her; however, I purchased a smaller one for her that is just big enough for her fluffy little bed and her (as recommended by my vet) - instead of using the large crate with newspaper to get her through the night as was being done previously. She gets me up between 1 and 3, and then is good until she hears me get up at 6. (I have not yet used the crate during the day. There have only been a few "accidents" on her training pads - which I have only been using if I need to do something and have to put her in the kitchen for a few minutes - but she's been pretty predictable for when she needs to go out for the most part. I'm even trying to teach her to ring the bells I hung for going out.) Mandi seems to know that 9:30 is bedtime, and goes in her crate with no question, whining or wimpering. She must be really tired by then, because she doesn't really nap much during the day!

Mandi did go to our vet Friday afternoon. She was microchipped right away, and got her distemper and kennel cough vaccines. She surprised me by weighing in at 9 pounds! Mandi did test positive for coccidia, and was put on Albon again, even though she just finished treatment for that according to the records Tracy gave me. Mandi also started Heartgard, and goes back in 4 weeks to start lepto and lyme vaccinations, as well as to make sure that the Albon takes care of the coccidia. I'll be starting puppy kindergarten with her at Sirius within the next two weeks or so.

Thank you so much. I can't begin to tell you how much I love her! I promise to send pictures and updates, especially to Tracy, because I know how precious Mandi is. And my heart went out to Tracy when I was leaving with Mandi. It must be so hard to foster these puppies and dogs, and then have to let them go. Mandi and I thank you for all of your love and hard work, both given to her and to all of the others!

Sincerely,
Amy Pies

Dawson is coming along very well in his new home with me. We get along very well. I found out he isn't a fan of other dogs, but other than that, he has been perfect. He loves all people. He has never had an accident inside. I found a toy that looked like the one that he had in the foster home and now he carries it around with him every where. it is so cute. He is just a blast to have around.

Thank you so much for putting us together. I don't understand how any one would have wanted to give up such a good little boy. He is full of so much love.

Hi Sandy,

I absolutely adore Janey; she is such a sweetheart. She is already attached to me, follows me around the house, and keeps me in her sight. Yesterday, we went for a ride and later for a walk after it finally stopped raining. When it was time for bed, she snuggled under the covers with us. I am so glad that she was returned as I feel she was really meant to be with me. I am including a couple pictures that I took yesterday. It didn't take long for Janey to find her favorite spot to snooze (2nd pic), on top of the couch in front of the bow window. Thanks so much!

Cathy

Here's a couple pictures of Reef. He's such a good boy I'm so so happy I decided to adopt him! Do you have any pictures of Reef's brother? He is doing great! He's right around 25 lbs and getting bigger everyday. He has learned some basic commands and seems to me to be very intelligent. We are starting puppy class tomorrow!! Woohoo!

Thanks,
Megan

I adopted Teddy from you almost a year ago and I just thought I'd send an update to let you know how he's doing. When we first got him, he was only 6.5 lbs and very scared. He would go on the attack at strangers and he bit our mailman one day. Fortunately, we found a wonderful behaviorist to work with him in our home and we got him socialized at doggie daycare. He is now the neighborhood darling. He loves to go for walks and considers everyone he meets a potential friend. He particularly loves little kids! Teddy has a "fan club" that comes by to play with him, pet him and take him for walks. We have gotten to know so many knew people all because of Teddy! Everyone tells us how cute he is, and as you can see in the attached photo, it's true. :) Teddy has become the light of our lives and is a thriving pup. We hope to train him to be a therapy dog when he's a little older, but right now he does therapy on his own with everyone he meets. As they say at his daycare, he's not spoiled, he's "well loved."

Do you remember 2 1/2 years ago you had Snuggles and adorable white with a black half mask face, puppy that I adopted from you? I don't remember who was fostering her at the time, but I thought you two might like to see a picture of her today. She is the love of my life! The first photos are the one's you had on your website when we adopted her. My photos are her with one of the fosters we had a few months ago. Just goes to show she really is a snuggles. And she is absolutely wonderful with all of the foster dogs we have had over the past 2 1/2 years. She actually got a little bigger than we thought she would, but she is the greatest dog!
Hello,
Just wanted to keep you posted that Fred is doing wonderfully! He's a great addition to our home, and seems to be very happy. :)

Hi Joanne,
Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that the puppy we adopted from you is turning out to be a great companion for my husband and I.
We are so lucky that your organization fostered her.
Thanks!
Susan and Don Castella and WOOF! WOOF! from Stella AKA Huni.
Ike acts as if he's lived here all his life. I took him to Easter dinner to meet the family and they all loved him. He has me wrapped around his little toe! He is my little buddy and spoiled rotten. Thank you for being his foster Mom and allowing me to have the opportunity to have him in my life.

Hello,

I just wanted to say Thank You!!! To any and all who were involved in my adoption of Mr. Porter [now named Nigel] He is an absolute ANGEL! His foster family must have instilled great morals in him...he seems house broken already...and he is young young... he goes right to the tile in front of the door and sits when he wants to go out...

Thank you thank you thank you! I love this little man! and everyone who has interacted with him say he has the greatest personality and laid-back attitude ever =]
